CIRCLE LAB

CircleLeb — Innovative Learning Approach for Circular Chemistry in Secondary Education

CircleLeb is an international educational initiative dedicated to integrating circular-economy thinking into secondary-school chemistry. With nine partners across five countries, the project sought to equip teachers and students with innovative tools, training, and methodologies that promote sustainable chemistry in the classroom.

The Brief
Mälardalen University partnered with European institutions to create a comprehensive learning framework that introduces circular-economy principles into science teaching.
Our task was to develop and execute the full communication strategy surrounding the project — ensuring clarity, accessibility, and engagement across all partner countries.

The project’s academic focus included:

  • Designing teacher-training courses

  • Developing digital learning tools

  • Creating practical educational materials that connect chemistry with sustainability

Our Approach
Working closely with Mälardalen University and the consortium partners, we shaped the communication ecosystem of the project, ensuring consistency and visibility across all channels.

We managed key areas of the communication process:
– Communication plan development
– Project branding and narrative structure
– Content strategy for educators and partners
– Coordination and implementation across institutions
– Ongoing communication support throughout the project lifecycle

Our goal was to translate a complex scientific framework into accessible, engaging language while supporting teachers, researchers, and stakeholders.

Result
The project successfully delivered a full suite of teacher-training modules and educational tools that embed circular-economy thinking into sustainable chemistry lessons.
Our communication framework strengthened the project’s visibility, improved partner collaboration, and ensured that materials were clear, accessible, and aligned across all participating countries.

CircleLeb continues to contribute to the advancement of sustainability-focused education and provides a strong foundation for future European initiatives in science and circular learning.
