Mulighetsriket — Stories of Innovation and Community in Viken, Norway

Mulighetsriket was a regional initiative designed to highlight the talent, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit within Viken county. The project aimed to spotlight local businesses, makers, and creative communities, from family-run farms to modern co-working hubs and present the region as a dynamic place to live, work and grow.

The Brief
We were commissioned to produce a series of ten one-minute videos showcasing diverse local stories: an artisanal ice-cream producer, an eco-driven hotel, a wheat processing facility, an artist studio, a co-working space and several different businesses that form the cultural and economic fabric of the region.

Our task was to capture each story authentically and visually — portraying both the people behind the businesses and the unique identity of the Viken region.

Our Approach
Over the course of two years, we travelled throughout Viken to film interviews, daily workflows, landscapes, and community interactions. Each video was designed as a cinematic portrait, blending documentary-style storytelling with strong imagery to make the stories feel warm, human, and relatable.

Result
The project resulted in ten short documentary-style films used across social media, marketing materials, and regional communication platforms. The videos successfully highlighted the diversity and creativity of Viken’s entrepreneurs and helped strengthen the region’s image as a place of possibilities, innovation and local pride.
